"Standing at the crossroads of dreams and destiny." 🎓
Outside the H&PE Arena at Ennis and Blodgett in the heart of 3rd Ward, Spring 2015. This was my second time walking across this stage (3 stages in total), but this moment held a weight I'd never felt before. I was about to receive my Master's degree in Sociology with honors as a proud member of Alpha Kappa Delta – but the real honor was in the journey that brought me here.
Behind this smile was a woman who had weathered storms that could have easily derailed everything. A single mother who refused to let circumstances write her story. A dreamer who understood that education wasn't just about degrees – it was about transformation, resilience, and the unwavering belief that your past doesn't define your future.
My mother raised me to understand that strength isn't about never falling; it's about rising every time you do. Standing here, I carried the same hopes of every woman who's been told she's 'too much' or 'not enough,' every mother juggling impossible odds, and every dreamer who's had to pivot when life threw curveballs.
This degree represented more than academic achievement – it was proof that with faith, determination, and community support, you can rewrite any narrative. To anyone facing their own storms: your breakthrough is coming. Keep walking toward that stage.
Hello,
I'm Tameka White – and I'm so glad you're here.
As the Founder and President of Inertia Justice Enterprises Inc., I know what it feels like to juggle everything life throws at you while still chasing your dreams. This picture represents one of my most treasured accomplishments – earning my Master's in Sociology with honors – but the real story is what happened next.
Picture this: I was on top of the world. Fresh raise, new house, finally free from a toxic relationship, and watching my daughter flourish in private school while I pursued my degree. Life felt perfectly aligned. Then reality hit like a tidal wave – the housing market crashed - I was caught in "The Big Short" (they made a movie about it), my oil and gas career vanished overnight, and I discovered I was expecting my second daughter.
But here's what I learned about myself in that moment: I don't break.
Instead, I learned to dance with uncertainty. Some days I felt like a sprinkler head spinning in every direction (and trust me, that's exactly how chaotic it felt!), but each pivot taught me something invaluable about resilience, shifting my mindset, and making the most of whatever resources I had.
Those lessons didn't just change my life – they became my calling. Today, I'm a certified life coach through Texas State University and IARPC, a certified 'Wait Trainer' for debutantes and gents, and I hold degrees in Sociology (MA), Communications (BA), and Business Administration (AA). But more importantly, I'm a woman who understands your struggles because I've lived them.
That's why Inertia Justice Enterprises exists – to walk alongside working moms, caregivers, and entrepreneurs who refuse to settle for anything less than their DREAMS.
Knowing is Winning!
At Siemens Energy, I led the team responsible for integrating operations following Siemens’ $7.6 billion acquisition of Dresser-Rand, a move that significantly expanded Siemens’ presence in the oil and gas sector. This merger brought together two companies with distinct project management systems and software, creating immediate challenges in aligning workflows and communication. The teams from Siemens and Dresser-Rand used different nomenclatures and tracking tools for projects and materials, which risked miscommunication, project delays, and inefficiencies during a critical transition period. Recognizing this obstacle, I took the initiative to develop a solution that would bridge the gap between the two organizations. Drawing on my experience and resourcefulness, I designed and implemented a custom database. This tool allowed managers from both legacy companies to access project details without needing to relearn unfamiliar terminologies. By mapping and standardizing project names, numbers, and ID markers, my database enabled both teams to locate parts and track project progress seamlessly, regardless of their original system. This innovation not only streamlined the integration process, but also ensured that ongoing projects continued without disruption, as all stakeholders could now “speak the same language.” The impact was immediate and measurable. Integration time was significantly reduced, and the risk of costly errors due to miscommunication was minimized. Managers expressed appreciation for a tool that respected their existing knowledge while promoting a unified approach. The database became a model for other departments facing similar post-merger challenges, demonstrating how creative problem-solving can drive operational efficiency during periods of organizational change. This is one of many experiences that reveals the power of data-driven solutions in overcoming complex business challenges and highlighted the growing demand for expertise in data management, analytics, and innovative thinker to employ the analysis in meaningful ways. Inertia Justice Enterprises Inc. is that innovator for every business and every person. I have a wealth of knowledge in various industries that allows me to see things with a squid eye view.
